The Alamo Dome

San Antonio is a delightful, but confusing city to drive in. San Antonio’s street layout has been described as a “Skillet full of Snakes”. Roads and streets meander, and their names change with the direction.

The Alamo Dome is located at 100 Montana Street. Here is a map and driving directions.
Parking in Lots A, B, and C is $10.00 for cars and trucks and $25.00 for 15 or more passenger vehicles. They accept Cash or In State Checks only. Lots B and C gates open 2 hours prior to the event.

The Alamodome was originally built as a football stadium. Sections 120 through 129 are temporary bleachers. Sections 330 – 337 and 313-319 are obstructed view seats. You can see most of the court from those seats, and the action is also broadcast from the Diamond-Vision above the court, but you may want to bring binoculars as well.

Buy Your Final Four Tickets From A Reliable Source

Tickets for the Final Four in San Antonio are hard to get. Many seats are reserved for the schools, NCAA, and various corporate sponsors. Unless you have already bought your tickets, or know someone who has them, you will probably have to buy them in the “secondary market” or from a scalper. Here are five reasons why you should buy your tickets from a reliable service such as RazorGator, Stubhub or TicketsNow.

Counterfeit Tickets
:
Final Four tickets are sold in a booklet. Each one contains two tickets, one for the two national semi-final games on Saturday afternoon, and one for the Monday evening Championship Game. The best seats sell for $170 and the cheaper seats sell for $140 per book. Approximately 5000 seats are available for the public. Counterfeiters make a killing on the streets near and around the Alamo Dome, in downtown San Antonio and along the San Antonio River Walk. The last time the final for was in San Antonio, I saw scalpers ask and receive in excess of $750 per ticket. Ticket counterfeiters have become quite sophisticated. Although the real tickets have security measures such as holograms, special inks, and raised printing, it is easy for an inexperienced buyer to be fooled. At this year’s Superbowl, the Scottsdale Police broke up a New York based counterfeiting ring. This group printed multiple bundles of the same four tickets and sold them to unsuspecting groups for as much as $2500 per pair. The tickets were good enough to fool the buyers, but not good enough to get past the special scanners used by stadium security.

Scalping Tickets is Illegal in
San Antonio: Although scalping tickets is legal in Texas, the City of San Antonio has an ordinance making it illegal to peddle goods on city owned property without a city issued license and in certain “clean zones” such as the Downtown Business District and the area around the Alamo Dome. It is punishable by a fine of between $200 and $2000. All of the River Walk and the areas around the Alamo Dome are in those clean zones. Click Here for a Clean Zone Map

Personal Safety
: If you choose to buy NCAA Final Four tickets on the street, you will have to pay in cash. Cash-carrying tourists are easy prey for criminals. Although San Antonio will have enhanced security in the tourist areas and around the Alamo Dome, do you want to risk being the victim of a mugging or worse?

Reliability
: All of the sellers on this site are reputable companies which have been in business for many years. These are large companies who can legally operate in Texas. They guarantee that you will receive authentic tickets that will be delivered on time for the event. They offer refunds and allow you to pay by credit card. One of the companies, RazorGator.com, is the official ticket and tour provider for the NCAA Final Four. They offer tickets, as well as pre-game parties and hotel packages.

Certainty: Wouldn’t you feel more relaxed and comfortable knowing that before you make the trip to San Antonio, that you already have your tickets in hand. No one can say with certainty that tickets will be available on the street, or can predict their selling prices.
